Brazilian Dance Classes for Children

ABCDança (ABCDance) seeks to

  • bring the rich Brazilian musical culture to the Brazilian kids born in Australia – the Braussies,
  • promote the different regions typical dance costumes and themes of the “canary country”.

Founded in 2012 by the actress-dancer Cinthia Nascimento, the group has already performed at various Australian and Brazilian official events with great success, having been congratulated for the important socio-cultural role it represents in conveying Brazil’s rhythms and sounds to Australia.

The program has initially been designed for kids, thanks to the variety of rhythms contemplated from the Samba to Frevo through Axé (Ashay) which well illustrates the Brazilian cultural diversity, but upcoming new styles can also be incorporated during the year depending on the occasion and participants’ interest.

Classes are offered Saturdays , from 2 to 4.30pm.
