Brazilian Playgroup – PlayEscola

Brazilian Playgroup – PlayEscola 2017-05-23T22:39:51+00:00

The PlayEscola is our Brazilian playgroup and the starting point for a child’s bilingual development.

Originally known simply as the Brazilizan Playgroup, the PlayEscola offers fortnightly play-and-learn sessions for children aged 0 to 5 and their parents.

Its aim is to foster social contact between bilingual children and facilitate the informal learning of Portuguese so as to help immigrant families to maintain the Portuguese language and Brazilian culture.

The sessions are led by a teacher coordinator responsible for developing a fun and educational program that includes craft, music, play and story-telling. Parents are actively involved in all activities so that they can share the learning and love of the language with their children.

For more information, please contact playescola@abcd.org.au

Only ABCD members can participate in the Playescola sessions and the term needs to be paid in advance by a bank transfer or credit card. Please see page Join Us/Payments.
